Can an npar containing multiple blades be setup on a C7000?
Hi all,
Please accept my apologies if this question is too basic (newbie here). Wondering if the ability of creating nPars where multiple blades become a signle computing unit is something that only can be done on a Superdome, or if the same could be accomplished with say a C7000 enclosure with BL460s blades?
Thank you for helping me with this question,

Re: Can an npar containing multiple blades be setup on a C7000?
@Kashyap02 Hi, thank you for getting back to me, I am really desperate at this point.
This is a test / lab environment we are trying to set up to then make it production.
Let me tell you what hardware we have and if you see a way we could set it up with any combination of these, please point me in the right direction.
For blades: we have g9 with 44 cores each.. BL460c.
For storage we have two options in the adjacent rack:
- MSA-2040 SAN version
- MSA-2050 SAS version
I could use either one, they are provisioned for me to make this work.
On the C7000 side of things we have different components in the spares room I could use:
- 488454-001 aka 487541-B21 16 PORT Pass through module SWITCH BLc
- 651281-B21 HP 8Gbps FC PCI-E 2.0 X4 Network HBA 659822-001 655452-001
- 2 x HP 656452-001 FIBRE CHANNEL 8GB QMH2572 ADPTR - 651281-B21, 659822-001
- HP AJ864A 3Gb SAS 2.0 8-Port Switch Module BladeSystem 491684-001
- HP Brocade B-Series 8GB FC SFP+ 8/24c SAN Switch Module 489866-001 (AJ822A)
- transceivers both iscsi and FC if we wanted to go the SAN route with the MAs-2040
Kindly advise

Hi Kashyap02, you are the man (or woman, can't tell from your username)!
A setup description like the one you sent is exactly what we were looking for, this will help us enormously!
Will test the setup and report back!
Thank you again,
