Can someone explain the process of configuring VLANs and network profiles on blade server

Hello everyone,

I'm looking for some guidance on configuring VLANs and network profiles on HPE blade servers. Specifically, I want to enable communication between two blade servers using IP addresses. I've done some research and found a few related discussions in the HPE Community that might provide some insights.

In a discussion titled "VLAN configuration in blade enclosure," a user was trying to configure VLANs to enable communication between their blade servers using specific IP addresses. You may find some helpful information in this thread.

Another discussion titled "Modify network connection for multiple server profiles" discusses configuring network connections for multiple server profiles with the same configuration for Flex10. Although it doesn't specifically mention VLANs, it might still provide some useful information.
If you're using a c3000 enclosure, there's a discussion titled "c3000: How to connect BL460c Server to different VLANs?" that might be relevant. It discusses connecting BL460c servers to different VLANs using the GbE2c Ethernet Blade switch.

In a discussion titled "Migrate OA & Blade iLO interfaces to new VLAN," a user shares steps for migrating OA and Blade iLO interfaces to a new VLAN. While it may not cover the exact scenario you're looking for, it could still provide some insights into VLAN configuration.

Lastly, there's a discussion titled "Virtual Connect VLAN Tagging - Help me" that discusses configuring VLAN tagging on a Hyper-V blade server connected to a ProCurve switch through Virtual Connect. Although it may not cover blade servers specifically, it could still offer some useful information on VLAN configuration.

I hope these discussions in the HPE Community can provide some guidance on configuring VLANs and network profiles on HPE blade servers. Remember to carefully review the information and adapt it to your specific setup. Good luck with your configuration!

Best regards,

Please consult the HP Virtual Connect Enterprise Manager User Guide for instructions on creating VLANs, configuring network connections, implementing VLAN tagging, and managing migrations.

You can find detailed information in the HP Virtual Connect Enterprise Manager 6.1 User Guide, which is applicable up to version 7.5 :- https://www.hpe.com/psnow/doc/c02246224

For additional guidance, you can refer to the HP Virtual Connect Enterprise Manager Command Line Interface User Guide, available at:- https://www.hpe.com/psnow/doc/c03667976
