can't load intelligent provisioning at dl360 gen9

Hello to all,

I have bought a second hand dl360 to set up my personal lab.

I find that the intell, provisioning is not installed.

I can't activate it from the bios either. I have downloaded the IP286.2021_1118.1 package from support, but after installing it I get a "flash nvram" error and  then I can't access to delete the disks to install my esxi

Has anyone come across this case?

Hi,
Are you getting any error while activating IP over BIOS? Please post if any.

It seems so, and it must be related as I have the following message.

I am trying to solve it, I have read several posts. Performed the formatting procedures without success.
Downgraded iLo but error remains.
Format by script and it continues.
Factory iLo reset.

I still have the same problem

Hi,

As per your post, I assume you have done the following steps-
1.  Update iLO to latest.
2.  Update system firmware to latest version.
3.  Reset the iLO to factory default.

You can try with these steps one by one -

1.   Go to ILO -> click on 'Format the embedded flash and reset iLO' button to reset flash and reboot.
2.   Power off the server, pull the power cord, power flash by pressing the power button for 15 seconds.
3.   If same issue persists even after performing above steps, we can suspect on Motherboard, call HPE support.

Thank you for your response.

I have gone to iLo and reset it. After a minute or so I disconnected the power.
After a minute I connected the power cable and pressed the power button for 15 seconds.
It went into iLo but the message still appears.

This message has changed after the tests carried out. Right now I have:
Controller firmware revision 2.10.00 NAND write failure: Media is in a WRITE-PROTECTED state

I do not have access to the latest SP packs.
My iLo version (2.79) after downgrade.
P89 v1.40 (05/06/2015)

Edit: I get now this sms:

Did you ever get this issue resolved?  I have the same issue and I've tried several documented fixes, plus some of my own, without any progress.   The server works, but this error and an inability to run Intelligent Provisioning, is driving me crazy.

Is there a way to un-write protect this memory to be able to flash it?  Or is this error message just a generic error for when the system can't continue because of an unknown problem.
