connecting HPE EL4000 QSFP+ port with a sfp breakout cable
Hi,
We have a HPE edgeline EL4000 server at our work place. It came with 2 QSFP+ NIC ports. We dont have QSFP+ port in our switch and only have SFP ports. So we used a QSFP+ to SFP optical breakout cable to connect to the switch. But the server is not detecting the network connection. The port in the switch is properly configured. Anything else needs to be done to enable the network link? Please help we are stuck.
Regards,
Sivbal.

Re: connecting HPE EL4000 QSFP+ port with a sfp breakout cable
Hello sivbal
Please also use QSFP to SFP splitter to connect it to the 10GB switch.
Then check the network link and should be enabled.
IF any further queries and still issue seen, please capture the screenshot of the configuration or just a schematic representation of the configuration and log a support case for investigation.
