Create virtual pool using physical MAC and WWN with HP OneView
Wei Ling had an HP OneView question:
***************
I have customer using physical MAC address and WWN for existing enclosure. They have decided to deploy OneView and use virtual MAC and WWN for new enclosure.
However, the existing enclosure is still on physical address.
Since OneView can create customize WWN range and server profile support user-defined specific ID. Can we create range of virtual address using physical address and assign in server profile?
So that customer can migrate to virtual pool yet no reconfiguration at network and SAN switch.
Any feedback is welcome

It would be best to configure the server profiles for the existing enclosure to use physical IDs.
By creating a pool of IDs that includes physical IDs, you run the risk of these IDs being consumed by any server profile, resulting in duplicate IDs on your network and all the problems that can result.
