Customer getting "Uncertified" DAC using supported Cisco Twinax cable
Joe was looking to help a customer:
******************
VC firmware = 3.70
Using Cisco Twinax cable 2053783-2 (Cisco SFP-H10GB-ACU3M)
This is a supported cable, correct?
Why does VCM say Uncertified??

Reply back from Vincent:

The A in the part number SFP-H10GB-ACU3M would seem to indicate it’s an active cable. We support the passive 3m cable (SFP-H10GB-CU3M), and active cables 7m and 10m. I’m not even sure this 3m active cable really is a Cisco cable, I find no reference of that part number on Cisco’s web site, only at some resellers where it’s labeled as “Cisco compatible”.

Re: Customer getting "Uncertified" DAC using supported Cisco Twinax cable
I ran into this a few months ago and on researching this warning, I found that this just means I was using a non-HP Branded cable, but cable is supported (and has been in production for 4 months).
