Virtual Connect 1/10F and Onboard Administrator (OA) firmware compatibility

Question from Brian on the ongoing support for the VC 1/10F module which has gone EOL.

I believe I have seen an email on this, but I can’t find it, so I thought I would ask the group.  I have a customer with several chassis’ using VC 1/10F modules.  Obviously these are frozen at VC firmware 3.60.  Where does this leave them in regards to SPP versions and OA firmware levels?  I know that SPP 2012.06.0 (B) was the last one to list VC Firmware 3.60 as the active version and the OA version at 3.55.  Can they use newer versions of the SPP, which would include newer versions of the OA with these chassis’, knowing that the VC will be frozen?

Short version is VCM v3.60 is the last VC software version that will be tested and certified along with whatever the latest and greatest VC Firmware is in order to keep 1/10 and 1/10-F customers in a supported config.
