Does HPE C7000 managable switch(HP VC Flex 10/10D) support pvlan? I can see it has option for private vlan, however that block traffic within the HPE switch. We want to connect HPE C7000 managable switch(HP VC Flex 10/10D) with juniper switch and want to run Private vlan so that they both can share isolation ids and HPE switch can block the that is coming from uplink on the bases of isolated vlan.

SolutionHello,
Yes/No ---HPE feature is called Private Network, this is different than PVLAN.
The Flex-10/10D supports Private Network, not PVLAN.
In a Private Network, downlinks can only communicate with uplinks. Peer to peer traffic is blocked. Servers on the same network can only communicate through an external layer-3 router that redirects the traffic back to the logical interconnect. So what you are seeing is the correct behavior of Private Network.
So what you are trying to do with Juniper switch ( isolation., community, ids,) doesnt apply to Private Networks feature.
Hope this helps for clarity.
