FRU Data Corrupt in pwr supply bay
I have a customer with a C7000 blade chassis in a remote datacenter. We have access to the Onboard Administrator remotely. Power supplies 1, 2, 4, and 5 are installed and plugged in to power.
The Blade chassis is showing an error with power supply 4. I have tried resetting the OA but the error remains. The power supply is functioning and shows a current load.
I am aware that reseating would probably clear the error. However, this is not an option for us as we do not have physical access to the box.
The OA web interface shows this error:
"Device identification data error"
The Insight Display shows this error
"FRU Data Corrupt in pwr supply bay 4"
Thank you.

Re: FRU Data Corrupt in pwr supply bay
I have tried that. All it does is show me the order which power supplies should be added. They are in the correct bays already.
I had someone on site power down the entire chassis and reinsert each power supply in order.
However, if this happens again, there will not be anyone on site. I am looking for a way to remotely clear this error should it repeat itself.
Thank you.
