Hello!
Could you please share your feedback if you have been able to install RHEL 8.6 or 8.8 on an HPE Proliant BL460c Gen10?

I haven't done it for a while, but I'm sure I have.
Are you having issues?

Re: Has anyone been able to install RHEL 8.6 or 8.8 on a BL460c Gen10?
Hi Pablo
Please check below link for BL460c Gen10 server support matrix. As per support matrix 8.6 or 8.8 is not supported OS. So Please install supported OS to get the best functionality for your server.

Thanks & Regards...

8.6 and 8.8 are supported.
8.0 is the minimum version supported.
If you read the whole page. "Minimum Required RHEL Version is listed for certified HPE servers and all future minor updates of the indicated major release are supported and certified."
This means that 8.0 through 8.X are supported.
9.X is not supported on these servers.

Re: Has anyone been able to install RHEL 8.6 or 8.8 on a BL460c Gen10?
@simoncorner @rabindra11sharm I agree, I think the documentation is ambiguous. It mentions the note you referred to: "Minimum Required RHEL Version is listed for certified HPE servers and all future minor updates of the indicated major release are supported and certified." However, it also includes an annotation stating that it is supported only up to 8.4 (see picture below).
I'd like to know if anyone has successfully installed it on RHEL 8.6 or later and can share their feedback. We are going to upgrade a production system and I am unable to test it.

Re: Has anyone been able to install RHEL 8.6 or 8.8 on a BL460c Gen10?
I've booted a spare BL460c Gen10 from the 8.8 iso and the installer loads but it doesn't see the disks on the fibre channel based SAN so I cannot proceed. The blade doesn't have any local disks, all of our blades boot from the SAN.

SolutionHello,
Support ends at RHEL 8.3 for the following HPE networking adapters: 560M, 560FLB, 650M, and 650FLB. All other HPE networking adapters have support ending at RHEL 8.4.
Operating System Support for the HPE ProLiant BladeSystem portfolio is frozen starting from Service Pack for ProLiant (SPP) Version 2021.10.0, released in October 2021. Starting with March 2022 MSB, there will be no updated firmware nor driver releases across the ProLiant BladeSystem platform. HPE will not be testing new operating systems nor validating existing OS support with newer SPP or MSBs. No updated firmware nor driver releases later than SPP version 2021.10.0 may be applied on HPE ProLiant BladeSystem products.
Thanks.
