how to generate Non maskable Interupt (NMI) on winodws 2008 64 bit R2 server

Can anyone guide on how to generate a NMI from the windows 2008 64 bit r2, I have follo wed the documents on the microsoft technet sites but does not generates the NMI dump Files.

Anyhelp on this is appreciated.

Have You tried from ILO ? There is a button to generate NMI.

Yes I have tried but where can we find the Dump files on the windows 2008 R2 64 bit.

Did you configured it to write the dump file (and which type of dump file) ? see :

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/254649


The location of where a normal dump file is written can be configured but the default location is : %SystemRoot%\MEMORY.DMP
