Installing OS on BL460-C

Hi I have C7000 enclosure with 10 BL460 C servers. Can any one tell me how to install OS on the servers.

Previously in BL20pG4 servers we use to connect the laptop with the server through console cable and by using virtual media option could install the OS.

Now the console cable is a different one we cant connect to server through RJ45 and make virtual media option. PLease help me......

Re: Installing OS on BL460-C

Hi,

Connect a USB dvd-drive to OA USB port and boot server from that media (mount DVD drive to servers with OA GUI or LCD screen).

OR connect to server ILO and use .iso images from OS and use virtual media.

Hello,

Then I would prefer RDP server installations.

Because You have bought licenses to it.

Sorry to hijack the thread

I have 680 blades on C7000. I just looked, and I don't see any USB port on my OA. I like to load Redhat onto the blad.

Tks

Re: Installing OS on BL460-C

It is there ...look under sticker "reserved for future use"

And update OA FW to latest.
