Mix of 10Gbps SFP+ and 8Gbps SFP+ - Virtual Connect FlexFabric module
A question from Ramu:
******************
Hope we can have 10Gbps SFP+ installed in X1 port for stacking across the enclosures and X2, X3 and X4 ports installed with 8Gbps SFP+ for storage connectivity.
Can anyone comment on this.
************
Input from Dan:
****************
Yes, this will work just fine.
All we technically need is a stacking link between bays, this is done by X7 and X8 normally but does not have to be those specific ports.
I assume you are trying to maximize the number of 1Gbps capable ports and thus want to use X5-X8 as uplinks.
DAC cable would be perfect.
