Can anyone confirm if there any differences in what is monitored with ESXi if we use the iLO and AMS vs. a direct WBEM discovery and subscription?

I know there are differences in Windows/Linux land with the AMS vs. Agents, but I can’t find anything to confirm this for ESXi.
