Need Part number for SB40C Coupler plate
Good info from David for questions from Rod:
***********************
(Ques.) What c7000 coupler is required for stacking two sidecars, tape blades, SB40c, and Mizzley on top of each other. The answer below was 408631-002 “should” work for the SB40c and sidecar, but we need to know if it WILL work, plus the other expansion blades were not addressed.
(Ans.) The c7000 “coupler” P/N 408631-002 “WILL” enable the PCI-Expansion Blade, SB40c, Mizzley, and Tape Blades to be stacked on one another after speaking with John Grady. Mechanically speaking, this method is acceptable.
(Ques.) What c7000 coupler is required for stacking a sidecar on top of a server blade or vice versa. The answer below was 408631-002 “should” work for stacking a SB40c or sidecar above a blade, but we need to know if it WILL work, plus the other expansion blades were not addressed. Also, stacking a server blade above a SB40c, sidecar, tape blade, and Mizzley was not addressed.
(Ans.) You “CAN” attach a HH blade server (200 and 400) above the PCI-Expansion Blade, SB40c, Mizzley, and Tape Blades with a “coupler.”
(Ans) You CANNOT attach a PCI-Expansion Blade, SB40c, Mizzley, and Tape Blade above a HH blade because of the mechanical design of the “coupler” and the HH blade. You CANNOT attach a “coupler” to a HH blade server (200 and 400)
(Ques.) How whatever needed coupler(s) are ordered was not answered.
(Ans.)A “coupler” is shipped with the PCI-Expansion Blade, SB40c, Mizzley, and Tape Blades. You CANNOT purchase a “coupler” individually.

Re: Need Part number for SB40C Coupler plate
Hello, I have a similar question:
Our customer bought a SB40 early last year. It is "attached" to a BL480. The coupler was not needed, because the slot "above" was empty untill now. Now he wants to put a BL460 in this slot, but he don't find the coupler any more. What to do now ?
