Onboard Administrator KVM problem with switch
Chris was looking for a solution
*********************************************************************************************
We are working on C7000 FW 3.0 trying to hook the OA KVM port to a HP Console Switch 2X16 using a KVM dongle with VGA, PS2 and USB connectors (414619-001) IA type PSM2. It will not work on the OA KVM, however on a blade dongle hooked to the front we see the display but the keyboard is inactive. We can push the KVM button on the OA front panel and get display on the screen, but the keyboard will still not work. We tried several different KVM dongles, but it looks like the USB port is inactive. We just tried a PS2 to USB adapter now the keyboard works, but the USB to PS2 adapter will not work on the OA.
I guess I need to confirm the KVM dongle does not have an active USB
The OA Enclosure KVM only supports USB keyboard and USB mouse. The HP KVM dongle needed is the one with only VGA and USB connectors. The HP KVM dongle with VGA, PS2 and USB connectors does NOT support USB keyboard and USB mouse.

Monty indicated that there are different dongles and that Chris needed the right one:
