Port mapping on Pass-Thru Module port has changed
Hi
Does anybody have an idea how to change the port mappings the pass through module "sees"
Until recently the pass through module reported the physical mac address of the network cards it mapped to
Now, it's mapping to Ethernet FlexNIC MZ2 2-a (previously it was port1 or port 2)
I'd like to change this back.
Screen shot attached shows a mix of the old and the new settings...
Ideally I want to disable the "new" mappings and go back to using the physical ports.
Thanks in advance

Re: Port mapping on Pass-Thru Module port has changed
Something changed in my configuration recently and I don't know what. I didn't intentionally change anything however note the MAC addresses of the HP Flex-10 10Gb 2P 530M network card.
Take a look at the following output:
Server Blade #1 Information:
......
Mezzanine 2: HP Flex-10 10Gb 2-port 530M Adapter
Port 1: 2c:76:8a:59:66:b8
Port 2: 2c:76:8a:59:66:bc
......
Server Blade #2 Information:
......
Mezzanine 2: HP Flex-10 10Gb 2-port 530M Adapter
Ethernet FlexNIC MZ2:1-a 00:17:A4:77:00:0C
Ethernet FlexNIC MZ2:2-a 00:17:A4:77:00:0E
......
In server 1, the MAC addresses look like the physical address of the NICs
In server 2, the MAC address look like they were allocated by the VC module
The servers were configured to use the physical addresses.
If using a VC assigned MAC is the preferred way of doing it, I may move that way however right now I'm to figure out what's happened.
Kind regards

Re: Port mapping on Pass-Thru Module port has changed
Just updating this ticket with the problem and the solution.
This turned out to be a bug that is being investigated.
Somehow the VC module in the chassis managed to allocate MAC addresses to the Mezzanine card that mapped to the pass-thru module! This happened for 6 of the 16 servers. Powering down/up the servers didn't resolve the issue. The following sequence worked for me.
1) Power down the blade
2) Un-assign the VC profile
3) Assign the VC profile
4) From the OA CLI, reset server X
5) Power on the blade
Verify the port mappings.
Hope this helps somebody else.
