Power Controller Firmware 0.5
Please forgive me if this is a repeat.
Can you upgrade the power controller firmware from 0.5 to 3.4b. Currently OA = 2.51 and ILO=1.78
Some people say that it is possible and some say it is not supported. Is there an offical HP document stating this.
Thanks for your assistance.

Re: Power Controller Firmware 0.5
not true. you can upgrade (trust me I've done it to about 20+ blades) and they replaced 18 motherboards or so. We run VMware and fromi the console of the ilo I typed in sh CPxxxx.exe --disaster-recovery
it would tell me it couldn't upgrade it until i used the disaster recovery switch. my gripe is that they released a 3.4c so how can you tell what version is which? they should release more minor numbers (ie. 3.5, 3.6 etc..) so people could tell the difference.
I've upgraded countless .5's to 3.4b&c. I have a new blade infrastructure now due to the motherboard problems as they pretty much replaced everything :)
