Putting one of the server blade network adapters onto VLAN4095 to access OA and iLO
Looking to see if this is a supported solution or if we would run into problems.
Looking to configure one of the NIC's on the blade to be on VLAN 4095 to communicate with the onboard administrator and to communicate with the management interfaces of the built in switches. Presumbly I would simply on the switch side determine which port it was and modify the VLAN membership to be in 4095 to give it access to the iLO of all the other blades and management of the enclosure and switches. It would also have access to anything attached to the iLO port of the enclosure as well.
Does anyone know if this would be a supported configuration or not possible or a issue waiting to happen? It all checks out for me in theory. However I'm being questioned on it to make sure it won't take the entire enclosure down for some unexpected downtime.
Thanks
