Server VMs for DDC, PVS and License servers using Citrix VDI license
Ramu had a customer issue:
**************************
Hi
We are proposing Citrix XenDesktop 4.0 for a customer with VDI enterprise license.
Proposal is for 200 virtual desktps (Citrix VDI enterprise 200 licenses included) and we have sized 4 number of BL460 servers for hosting VMs & 2 BL460 servers for hosting DDC, PVS and license servers.
The question is, using the Citrix VDI enterprise licenses can we create Server VMs for DDC, PVS and License servers or we need separate Citrix XenServer license for those two servers?
Please reply to all as I'm not part of Xen community.

Mauricio had the info:
*******************
XenDesktop customers are entitled to use XenServer to host any of their virtual desktops and XenDesktop infrastructure. For instance, XenServer can be used to host virtual desktops with a Windows Client OS, as well as the XenApp and XenDesktop support virtual machines for the environment. However, the same XenServer environment may not be used to host overall infrastructure (domain controllers, DNS, etc.) or other general purpose workloads. These hosts should be maintained in a separate pool from other XenServer hosts, and it would require additional licenses of XenServer.

Are you using Citrix VDI solutions? Any comments or suggestions?
