Use bay 5 & 6 instead of 1 & 2 on c7000 enclosure
Hi,
I have a c7000 enclosure with 4 interconnect bays. In the 1 & 2 are 2 6120XG switches and in 3 & 4 are 2 SAN switches.
I would like to replace the 6120XG by 2 Nexus B22HP FEX. So to do that smoother, I have the B22 in bays 5 & 6 and I hope to just change the port mapping of the servers.
But I'm not sure if I can just change the server connections from bay 1 & 2 to bay 5 & 6 like that?
I've attached an image of a server port mapping, I don't understand if I have a mezzanine card slot 2 or not, if I can use it or not... If I have to use the FLB for the LAN so bay 1 & 2 and not 5 & 6 ...
Thanks,

Re: Use bay 5 & 6 instead of 1 & 2 on c7000 enclosure
Here is the mapping.
Check if you have the mezzanine cards installed (from OA information screen).
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: Use bay 5 & 6 instead of 1 & 2 on c7000 enclosure
Thanks for help.
From your picture I see that the bays 5 & 6 are connected to mezzanine 2 and 3. It seems like I'll have to replace the bays 1 & 2 directly not passing by 5 & 6. Sorry but I don't understand how to see if I have the mezzanine cards.

Re: Use bay 5 & 6 instead of 1 & 2 on c7000 enclosure
found this picture in another thread:
It is showing mezz 1 installed, mezz 2 empty.
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: Use bay 5 & 6 instead of 1 & 2 on c7000 enclosure
Ok thanks, we can see in my attachment that I don't have the mezz 2. So I'll have to put my B22 at the BAY 1 & 2 places?
