Virtual Connect module stacking links - cables to be used
Chad had a multi-enclosure stacking link cable question:
*****************
Is there an actual list of cables that are supported for use with stacking links? I’ve used FC cables with supported SFPs as stacking links but wasn’t 100% sure of supportability. In the Virtual Connect Install and Startup Guide, it states under the stacking cable layout:
For information on supported cable and transceiver options, see the Virtual Connect module
QuickSpecs on the Installing tab of the HP BladeSystem Technical Resources website
(http://www.hp.com/go/bladesystem/documentation).
This seems to imply that any supported cable/transceiver could be used as a stacking cable.

Reply from Chris:

ANY cable can be a stacking link. We do not have a preference or proprietary cable.
