Virtual Connect shared uplink set in "linked standby" state
Hello Experts,
I am deploying a new uplink X4 on HP c7000, and cannot ping any IPs in respective VLAN; on further investigation found the uplink set is in 'inked standby' state. I have verified the config & status of the Cisco Nexus switch port, its identical to another working port. LACP is not applicable in this case, as I am not performing link aggregation. Please see the connectivity overview attached.
I would like to know what does it mean by linked - standby and what are probable reasons for it? Any recommendations to fix it?
Thanks in advance.

Re: Virtual Connect shared uplink set in "linked standby" state
Hello, from the user guide:
"Linked-Standby—The VC port is physically connected to a switch. Networks associated with the port are not assigned to a profile or the port is not selected to actively transmit traffic."
The blue text is what's confusing to me.
