The iLO should never be a SNMP trap destination, a trap destination is always a management station in some form that can receice and interprete the received trap and eventually take action or just log it, a iLO does not have this capability. The iLO could be configured to send SNMP traps out to a SNMP trap destination such that the iLO errors are being logged somewhere.

The SNMP config is not related to the hostname field, in other words, the hostname is not set with a SNMP SET command i.e.

all,

yeah, now the hostname show up on device bays section after I reinstall OS.

kris, you are right. theres something in OS level that caused the hostname displayed. but still i didn'know what services or daemon that must run in OS since i solve this by reinstall the OS =P

anyway my problem have solved, thx all.
