Can SKU # 455883-B21(HP BladeSystem 10Gb SR SFP+ for the Virtual Connect Flex-10 Ethernet Module) be replaced by either of these below SKUs.

Part numbers are not the same in PartSurfer…

JC859A  -  HP S136 10G SFP+ LC SR Transceiver 

JD092B  -  HP X130 10G SFP+ LC SR Transceiver

Although from a spec standpoint they are equivalent, the only Ethernet Transceivers allowed/compatible/supported within VC are these listed below.

455883-B21 has always been supported and J9150A was added somewhere along the VC 3.51 Firmware release.

Hi,

does anyone know what is an exact version of virtual connect (flex fabric 10Gb/24) where J9151A will be supported?

We are running verion 3.18 and it is says "incompatible" for connection type -field.

Actually my question is, are there any support matrix of the different versions of the other HP components that are affected if virtual connect has to be updated to support J9151A Gbic:

I just put the 455886-b21-cdw into my recently firmware updated  blade chassis.  The VC gui tells me the SFP's are Status: Disabled Failed Validation, connector type: incompatible.
