recovery of pqi files

hi I have a presario 5000 and i was having problems with it so i backed it using the backup software on the recovery disk and replaced the drive i used the old drive as a slave and installed xp but i cannot recover the backup files they are as follows 15 factory files 1 with an extention of pqi and the rest numbered from 002 to 015 and 10 user files as above all the files are 48mbs in size. what software can i use to recover files from these files i went to powerquests site but could not see anything i tried zip arj ice but no good the files are mainly docs and jpegs from my camera

When I read your problem, it is exactly like the problem I have been emailing people about for 4 days. Did you ever recover your PQI files? If so how did you do it?
