Transporting DLT media through customs
I need to know the impact of bringing business sensitive data back on DLT IV tapes from a European country through customs as hand-luggage.
What are the implications of going through the x-ray machines? It must have been done before, I would like to know the process.

Re: Transporting DLT media through customs
X-Rays in themselves will not affect the data which is on the tapes, my concern would be the walk through metal detectors.
Speak to security they may allow the tapes to be transported in a security bag.
Also I would take at least 3 copies on 3 tapes.

Re: Transporting DLT media through customs
if you have to seal the bag, there are some solution like to ask to police or something like that to control before seal and get an authorization to carry the bag without control of it.
