4000M Keeps droping servers

First problem.

We keep losing connection from a 4000m to servers.
After loss if you check Mac table address is missing ?
Reboot server all is well for about 12-18 hours and then it loses its connection again.

Second Problem

Connect RS6000 have link light.
Both fixed at 100Full.

Can ping from Switch to both Mac and IP address.

But not from anywhere else.

For the first problem at least...

Ensure you are on the latest revision of Firmware.

Is the switch at the current firmware revision level?

Re: 4000M Keeps droping servers

James,

It appears that you are not the only one with this problem. Look at Julianne Walsh's post in this same forum. Interesting that for her, setting the duplex to half solved the problem. Don't know if hers is just an Apple problem or what but it looks suspiciously like the switch firmware is buggy. I'd contact HP support about the problem you are having. Don't these things come with a lifetime warranty?

This switch has been swapped out. The problem is now going to HP tech support in the states.
