AP 420 not authenticating new equipment
Folks,
I have a AP420 which is working fine for laptops that have previously associated with it, but new laptops trying to connect to the AP for the first time, are not able to connect. I get this in the event log of the AP: Oct 08 14:39:07 Information: SSID 1 ::WPA 4-way handshaking fails at 00.
I made sure I was using the right WEP key. Any ideas? This worked fine up until about a week ago, and two new laptops cannot associate. They say they are trying, but ultimately fail.
Thanks,
Mike

Re: AP 420 not authenticating new equipment
WPA 4-way handshaking fails
^^==vv
I was using the right WEP key
Are you sure this descibes the situation correct?
WPA is something different then WEP.
Maybe sometime in the past you changed settings from WEP to WPA, but now for the new laptops you still use the WEP key?
If it's a typo and both are WPA check for WPA-settings like WPA/WPA-2, check the key-lengths (bits) are the same.

Re: AP 420 not authenticating new equipment
Pieter,
Good catch. I think I figured out what was happening. I had changed my authentication from WEP to WPA for PDA's. I don't think I had set up any more machines since I made that change. I went into the 420, set up a new WPA Key, and can now authenticate. Thanks for your response.
