Clients can no longer pick up DHCP address via wireless xl module

Hi

I'll keep this short and go into more detail if required...

For the last four years all has worked ok with no issues, but this morning problems have started...

I have a Windows 2003 DHCP server connected to a hp 5308xl switch with a J9001A Wireless module in. This morning, all wireless clients can no longer renew their IP leases. All wired clients are unaffected - so the DHCP server is working.

The strange thing is that according to the DHCP logs on the server, the DHCP requests from the wireless clients are being recieved and renewed - with the DHCP table is showing this. But it seems that the 'DHCP Offer' is no longer being recieved by the clients and so their address is not being set.

I've installed wireshark on a client and it appears to confirm this. But why has this started now...?

Anybody any ideas?

Thanks, Andrew

Fixed it myself. An upgrade to the 5308xl firmware did the trick. Can't say why though...
