Compaq Deskpro EN 6350 vs. D-Link DWL G520+ Wireless PCI adapter

Hello!

The adapter's driver have been installated before I connected the card. After restart, win 98SE found the new hardware, but before the installation has finished the computer froze. It did whether I tried the adapter to plug in either slots, os changing 98se->XP->98SE, and IRQ changing in BIOS (goes worst). Now everything back to standard I waiting for advice what to do.

Seems like driver issue ; is the driver compatible with your OS version ?

the card's min. requirements are 300MHz processor, win 98 os

I would remove the driver via the control panel > system > hardware devices then remove the card.

Reboot to make sure all traces is out of there then turn off the PC and reinstall the hardware again. This will let the OS find it again and try to reload the driver. If it happens again, the driver is no good and you may need to find the latest on the internet.
