Compaq Presario v3000 // Wireless Led is alveys Orange

Hello,

As i wrote in the title my wireless stopped working from one day to the other.
Setup :
Notebook : Compaq Presario v3000
System : Windows Vista Business

I have seen that many topics have been sorted out with my same problem but i have tried everything and still nothing worked.

- Update bios F.3D (last and current version)
- Device Drivers Broadcom Wireless LAN Driver for Microsoft Vista VERSION: 6.00 REV: B
- Tried with and without HP Wireless Assistant (when i move the switch that enables and disables the WLAN from my notebook the HP Wireless Assistant notices the changes and tells me to ider turn on the WLAN or check the Device Manager)

I can't see the Broadcom device in my Network Adapter (Device Manager).

So if you can help me out i would really appreciate it. I have been trying to fix it for the past 2 days swapping operating system from xp to vista and trying everything i could think of.

p.s. i have another problem with the notebook that might be sorted as well. The keys ' x s w 2 F2 6 7 ' are not working at all is you can help me with this as well it would be wonderful.

This is the clue right here: "I can't see the Broadcom device in my Network Adapter (Device Manager). "

You'll need to deinstall and reinstall the drivers for this device.

Its not that simple. I installed and uninstalled all the drivers 10000 times. By chance on a reboot the light turned blue, and i could actually see my wan in my device manager. Still now that i have rebooted it once more the light is still blue but no more wan in my device manager.. sob...

Have you gone into the BIOS and made sure that all the onboard peripherals are powered on?

Thanks for replaying. I have flashed the bios and went into it but there are only few options i can actually change there is the boot sequence , a hard drive test and only some information regarding actual hardware on the computer so no cant seem to manage the power to the wifi from the bios.

The strange part is that when i turn the pc on yesterday it found the wireless and installed it. But on the next reboot it disappeared again.. Strange.

Donno it is really strange.

Thanks for helping anyway.
