Connected to Network but no Internet Access
Hi
I have a wireless home network with the router ethernet cabled into an XP PC. I've set up 2 XP laptops wirelessly to the network and they connected perfectly. I've just bought a new HPG6032EA laptop which runs Vista and although it connects to the wireless network and the signal strength is excellent it won't let me access the internet and says local only.
I'm using WPA security if this is relevant.
The message I get is "There may be problems with your Domain Name Server (DNS) Configuration" - Please can anybody help me as the laptop is a Christmas present for my daughter and I'd love to get it working !
Thanks so much

Were you able to resolve you're problem?
Did you check if you're wifi is connected to the central unit?
Is you're central unit can access the internet?

Re: Connected to Network but no Internet Access
Yes I managed to resolve the problem by manually entering the DNS server addresses in the Internet protocol v4 section. If I had the "Obtain DNS server address automatically" box checked it was picking up the wrong DNS address which is why I was getting the DNS error message.
