CP-2W and Printer
I'm having difficulty accessing a shared printer through the Connection Point. The printer is on my desktop which is connected via a hardwre to the CP. I'm trying to set up to access the printer from my laptop connected to the CP via a WAN link. The laptop can access the network and access shared folders on the desktop. I just can't figure out how to add the desktop connected printer to the laptop.
I've tried adding a local port pointed at the //host/printer-name with no success.

Re: CP-2W and Printer
What OS? I'm going to assume Windows.
I've had no problems with Windows. On the desktop with the printer, make sure you have right clicked on the printer and enabled sharing. Then, on the other computer connected via wireless just use the add printer wizard to add a network printer.
That's about it.

Re: CP-2W and Printer
I'm running windows xp home. The printer is shared and I've used the add new printer wizard. It appears as if the printer has been added successfully but when I try to print it comes back with an error saying there was a problem printing (not much info) - I've tried the printer troubleshooter and the network troubleshooter to no avail. By the way I've tried adding a network printer and a local printer using a port pointed at the remote desktop system. Neither works.
