dhcp and wireless
Hi,
We are having a major problem with vista clients on our wireless network using the Procurve zl wireless module. Clients regularly fail to get a dhcp address and fall back on the 169 address. We came across a fix involving changing the registry and adding an entry DhcpConnEnableBcastFlagToggle and setting it to 1. This seems to work, but is a major pain. Has anyone come across a more effective resolution?
Thanks,
Tony.

Re: dhcp and wireless
Hello Tony,
When I hear these issues, I am more suspicious with the client card. You mention Vista, are there other clients which are not showing the issue as well? Yeah, that would be a pain to do this work around everytime.
Few things:
- What is the code version for the WESMzl you are using (e.g., WT.01.15, etc.)?
- Client card information.
-Could you pass along the URL for this work around? (I'm curious about this work around myself :-) ).
Thanks Tony,
greg

Re: dhcp and wireless
Hi Greg,
Using version 1.23.0003. XP and Windows 7 clients seem to be OK.

Thanks
