EMI interference?
I have a 3970 with the GSM/GPRS pack. GPRS software is 829 and the ROM is 2.00 and I have the EUU ver 3.0 loaded. Everything works fine. However, while driving in the car I am experiencing significant crackle and pop sounds - which I am attributing to EMI from the engine. It only occurs at high RPM (above 6,000 RPM). I wondered if it was my M3 but it also happens in an Izuzu Rodeo I was riding in. I'm wondering if anyone has any suggestions or understanding of EMI shielding that might have some insight. I have looked at http://www.magnetic-shield.com/products/lab-kit.html to see if I could construct my own - but I know this would void the warranty. Anyone else experiencing this problem?
