ew2500 Jetdirect wifi print server
I have multiple ew2500 series wireless jetdirects that will not connect wirelessly at multiple sites. They are connected to various HP 2055dn, p2015dn, 1320n, and p3005dn laserjet printers. I have set the reservations on the DHCP server and everything works fine when they are wired but once I switch over to wireless the print jobs will go through but after 5 min they get stuck in the spooler and are unable to print. Windows also indicates that the printer is offline. This is happening on server 2003 and 2008 print servers. The only differnece was that a few months back we installed CISCO 4400 and 5500 series wifi controllers to manage all our WAPS. There is only one SSID and no vlans (I have verified the key about 10x times on the jetdirects). I did make changes to the controllers where they were denying 802.1x clients but that has not solved the issue. I also flashed the jetdirects with a firmware that HP does not release to the public via HP tech support. The only odd thing is that when I setup the jetdirect on a site that has autonomous cisco access points they work fine. Has anyone ran into this issue with this model of jetdirect and compatability with Cisco wifi controllers?
