Hp pavilion DV6000 Wlan disabled by device manager???
Hey guys i got a HP pavilion DV6000
AMD turion 64 X2 TL-50 1.60 Ghz
with the nforce chipset.
i cannot seem to get the wireless internet to work, the wi fi lamp stays on orange and when i run hp wireless assistant half the time it doesnt load and when it does it says this device has been disabled by Device manager. I checked out the device manager and under network tab it just shows Nforce network controllers which has nothing to enable the wifi, i check power settings to make sure it is'nt being turned off to save power, thats not the case. sometimes when i restart the comp they wifi works most the time it doesnt also sometimes when it goes to Sleep mode and wakes up again wifi is back on! But most the time the light is orange and i cannot get the device enabled =[ i see im not the only having this problem. Can someone plz Email me @ Mottoman87@yahoo.com with steps on how to fix this, im going to be going back to school soon and i really need this to connect wirelessly Ty!.

Re: Hp pavilion DV6000 Wlan disabled by device manager???
Google for a list of many symptoms caused by motherboard failure, and laptops affected -- my fury is that altho my model number (dv9000) is covered, only certain pruduct numbers under dv9000 are included, and mine is not one of them! The problem is the motherboard, and the symptoms include loss of bootup, VERY slow bootup, WiFi stops working, etc. Send me an email at john (at) johnfrench.org if you have the symptoms but are not covered by their extension plan. If we join together we can stop their refusal to fix their machines. I spent hours with their call center and all they kept saying (politely, of course) is that my product number is not covered. The repair with shipping is well over $500 and it is because of their crappy motherboards!
