I have a new NC6000 laptop running Win2K. I am looking to enable the Intel PRO/Wireless LAN 2100 3B Mini PCI Adapter. The drivers are installed and I've also got hold of the Intel ProSET software. On the General tab of ProSET, it says that the radio is switched off. The hardware radio is also switched off and the option to 'switch radio on or off' is greyed out.
I've had a look at the computer setup via F10 on boot up. The only option for wireless is enabled, suggesting that it hasn't been intentially turned off (although a corporate build of Win2K has been put on the PC, I do have full admin rights and there doesn't seem to be anything restricting the use of wireless).
What am I misssing? Is there something else I need to enable? Any help appreciated.
Chris

Re: NC 6000 WLAN Question
Many thanks Philip - it's easy when you know how! I blame my IT Dept for not supplying any of the manuals when they gave me the PC!
Cheers
