Networking Windows 2000 Computer
I have five computers on my home network, however, I'm trying to add a Windows 2000 computer and cannot get the network to be present on it. I've tried creating a new user and other things, however, the icon which I do see in the other computers when clicked on says - 'you do not have permission...'

P.S. The other five computers have Windows XP to Windows 95 and they all are networked.

I suspect you're logged in as a non-administrative/non-privileged user. Have you tried this with an account called "Administrator" (it may also be the very first account you created).

Re: Networking Windows 2000 Computer
I wonder if you are trying to access the Win2K PC's hard disk. Maybe you can try to enable sharing of the hard disk first.

Re: Networking Windows 2000 Computer
Thank you for the help. I was able to network it after I deactivated the firewall.
