Notebook can't see LAN
I have a new HP Pav. 9220 with Vista. I can use the wireless with no problem. When I am at work and plug into ethernet, I cannot see the rest of the computers on the network. I can however use the internet. Any ideas?

Re: Notebook can't see LAN
Hi, Yvette
Does your company use a domain? With ISA or something like it?
Check if your PC uses same domain name as the rest of them all. If not a domain, see if the workgroup name is the same.
Good luck
Jorge

Re: Notebook can't see LAN
Thanks for your response. I'm not sure if my computer has a workgroup name. I thought that if i plugged into an ethernet network, I would be able to see the rest of the network. I was able to with my previous computer. Could it be Vista? I'm not very "IT literate" so bare with me. Thanks!
