RIS Installation for the NC6000
Hi All,
I'm working with RIS to attempt to rollout a standard image of an NC6000 laptop.
I've got the Windows XP SP2 cd installed in RIS for my flat image.
I've got the machine image on the RIS server.
The thing connects via PXE, the windows loader starts and all is good until it tries to format the drive, which it can't find.
It's a standard IDE drive so what gives?

Re: RIS Installation for the NC6000
hi,
If RIS is telling you that it can't find the hard-drive it should be because of the driver. The driver should be located in the flat image.
You said you have the flat image in the ris server and that you also "the machine" image on the ris server!!! which machine image??
After you installed the flat image in your RIS server, did you try to deploy it to you NC6000, and if so, did this work?
If it worked, then you just need to make all the changes you want on the NC6000 and then upload the new image to the RIS server.
Was this what you have done??
regards,
hugo
