samba performance on SUSE Linux compare to Windows 2003 file server

We configed HP Storage Works clustered Gateway
Refer to http://h18000.www1.hp.com/products/quickspecs/12237_div/12237_div.PDF

Clustered Gateway consist of DL380 G4 with suse linux 9.
we also configed samba on this server.

Samba client is also DL380 with windows 2003.
We tested cp from clinet to Clustered Gateway.
We had 30Mbytes/sec.

Custmer complain that they had 60Mbtye/sec with old file server which is windows 2003 with I-Omega.

can anyone explain how faster samba running under Suse linux is reasonable compare to windows 2003 file server?
