tcp/ip on ze4560

I have a wireless network at home, and I can't connect to the internet. I don't appear to have an IP address, and when I try to repair the connection, XP Home tells me that "TCP/IP is not enabled for this connection. Cannot proceed."

Re: tcp/ip on ze4560

To verify whether you have an IP or not, from a command prompt type: ipconfig

The first thing I would look for is see if the TCP/IP protocol was inadvertantely deleted for that NIC. Go into:
Start > Settings > Network & Dialup Connections > And choose the "Local Area Connection" that corresponds with your wireless card. Go into properties, and in the components used section you should see "Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)". If not, go ahead and click on Install > Protocols > TCP/IP.

If "Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) is already listed, let us know and we can look at different potential issues. Chances are though either TCP/IP isn't installed, or the card isn't even being recognized.
