TX1000 Problem
I must say that i did love the hp computers but i don't know anymore. I bought my tx1000 aeries in October of 2007 and after the one year warranty, everything started going crazy. The wireless button isn't working, the fingerprint scanner is non functional, the camera only works when i'm using either instant messenger and the biggie, when turned on the screen is blank. I tried to reboot the system and nothing. Nothing works.

Re: TX1000 Problem
Sigh
I have to agree with you. I was an HP employee and stuck with HP but realized, like you, that they sell crap when windoze is involved. Which is a little ironic since HP started out in Unix and Unix admins notoriously detest Windoze. It's almost like sabotage from within or something like, if they sell a working windows product then they'll have to eat a decade of crow.

Re: TX1000 Problem
I was so excited about my tx1000 until I started using it. The tablet part is great...too bad I can't actually watch a whole movie because it stopped recognizing the wireless adapter several times a day and I have to reboot. Then my hard drive went bad. Then it started getting so hot that I couldn't actually use it on my lap if I was wearing shorts. Now it has stopped recognizing the wireless adapter at all.

Re: TX1000 Problem
I am pretty sure the motherboard in your laptop is cooked like my tx1009au and lots of tx1000 series out there. Please report your problems to HP and express your disappointment. I am pretty sure the reply will disappoint you. What I get from HP is â I would like to inform you that since HP has not found the manufacturing defect for this model yet, the service would be chargeableâ . But if we donâ t speak out, we will never get â free repairâ like other hundreds product models.
