VMT version compatibility

VMT version compatibility

I'm running firmware 5.3.1.0-01-7143 on an MSM750, with VMT version 5.3.1.0. If I upgrade the MSM750 to version 5.4.0, do I need to upgrade VMT as well, or will the version I have still work?
