WESMzl and web-auth
Hi
I'm using the web-auth feature in the WESMzl module. The users are redirected to the built-in server/WLAN web pages for authentication.
I want to avoid any certificate security warnings when users are redirected to the built-in secure page for authentication. Is there any way to redirect the users to a DNS name (pointing to the VLAN IP) instead of users being redirected to the VLAN IP?
Is it possible to enforce ACLs for anonymous users before authentication? Web-auth has an allow list but this exposes all ports to the users - I want to restrict anonymous users to port 80 and 443 only.
Regards Michael

Re: WESMzl and web-auth
Hi
I guess you can re-direct to another landing page ..
However, did you try to register the Vlan IP in your DNS server with statically ? this could resolve the issue of the Certificate Error ...
Good Luck !!!

Re: WESMzl and web-auth
Hi
I've just tried to register the VLAN IP in DNS for both forward and reverse lookup - Users are still redirected to the VLAN IP instead of the DNS name.
Any suggestions apart from using external pages for authentication?
/Michael

Re: WESMzl and web-auth
Contact HP, they have an unrealeased build which fixes this.
