Wireless AP 420 deployment, please advise....
We have deployed a couple of hundred Procurve 420's AP's in my company and are having difficulty managing this.
Do you know if there is a central management solution that I can use as you have with Cisco. I would like to be able to automate changes, track RF's and perform all management from this one central device.
Also some of our users have devices that span several vlans and we are having issues when these devices move between the vlans e.g One are has both vlans 25 and 29 defined but once the wireless device picks up vlan 25, if it then moves to an area where vlan 29 is dominant it drops the connection.
Any advice would be much appreciated.
Cheers.

Re: Wireless AP 420 deployment, please advise....
I will read up on the links and see whether this is approrpiate for our needs.
What we have is a situation where an area covered by a single AP has more than one vlan defined for the users in that section and I gave the example of vlans 25 and 29. When a user with a handheld device which has picked up an address in vlan 25 is unable to switch between vlans and connect to servers in the other vlans. Is there a way to trunk this somehow so more than one vlan is seen by the AP's?
There is no dedicated wireless vlan. All wired and wireless clients use the same vlans.
Thanks again,
Martha.

Re: Wireless AP 420 deployment, please advise....
Alternatively you can now deploy n wireless in a managed environment via the 422 AP's (which are managed or unmanaged). This is the product supplied by Colubris which Procurve have brought. They too have there own Management module, and it is being ported to a WESM module for a 5400 or alike device like the g standards.
