Wireless connection problem

When I start my Pavilion dv9653cl note book it sometimes will not see any wireless network. My router is closeby and the signal strength is execellent. There are some other networks in the area, but I have the computer set to only connect to mine. I am running Vista Home premium. Using 802.11g router (Linksys)
Any ideas?

Re: Wireless connection problem

Since last Thursday I have the same issue with my HP ZD8000 series. Sometimes detects the network, othertimes not. I have an external wireless PCMCIA card and it works perfectly when I plug it.
I guess it's an issue with regards sensitivity therefore I'm going to activate the warranty for the 2nd time in this Laptop.

Re: Wireless connection problem

Now for some strange reason it is working fine. Don't know if it is operating system or hardware problem. Next time I am going to do same thing and dump it in HP's lap.

Re: Wireless connection problem

I have had similar experiences with Vista 32 premium installed. It turns out the operating system is losing the router's (BT Home Hub) password. Re-entering this enables full connection to router and also tinternet.

Re: Wireless connection problem

I have faced it with Linksys v7 routers. I reconfigured my encryption to WEP and its working fine from them.
