Wireless Gone DV6000

I've got a similar problem. Last week the wireless adaptor just stopped working. It worked intermittently then just stopped all together. I reloaded virus software and came up with some stuff but no results for the wireless. The hp total care advisor is nice as I can reload the drivers for the wireless assistant and Broadcom but neither works. The wireless assistant won't even come up, nor will the blue light come on. I reformatted to the original configuration and no success. It doesn't look like from the conversation here there's any hope for a fix. This is my wife's business computer and she really liked it until now. Where can we buy reliable computers? I'll start looking now.
